Swiss Interior Design (Bukit Merah Showroom)

After 20 years of staying in our 5-room HDB flat, we decided that it was time to spruce it up. We engaged Kent after recommendations from a good friend, despite having spoken to other ID firms from the QANVAST meet ups. We were surprised after the first visit when told that his junior Choon Choon would be handling our project, but this turned out to be a good arrangement as they complemented each other well, with Kent giving practical advice based on his years of experience, and Choon Choon being able to give that feminine touch to the design of our flat, ideas for problem areas, particularly for our girls' room. As per any renovation project, some chasing on owners' part was expected, but Kent and Choon Choon were ever-responsive and took ownership of any issues that cropped up. Though there was a delay in the end, they made it up in terms of the good design, quality of work, and excellent service. I would recommend them to anyone thinking of renovating their home!

I was worried when looking for an ID for my renovation cos I was ignored by IDs after knowing my unit is just one bedroom condominium. Luckily I found Choon Choon from swiss interior. She was friendly and it was comfortable talking to her. Soon after the first contact I engaged with her for my renov. She was responsive and thoughtful throughout the process. She was always accomodating my schedule from discussions to onsite visits. She took it seriously when helping me to design my house although it is a small unit. She also gave me many ideas and suggestions. She can simply answer any question I asked her. If she was not sure she will try to find out. The renovation took about slightly more than a month and everything was on schedule. As I am always overseas, Choon Choon help me to monitor everything without me chasing her. The workmanship turns out to be satisfying. Some defects were in fact spotted by her and she volunteers to do touch up or amendment for me as if it was her house. I was really happy with the outcome of my renovation and everything was beyond my expectation. Those who had came to the house all complimented on the design. If anyone wants to have a smooth nice renovation without much worries, i highly recommend Choon Choon.

Really glad to have Melvin Yick as our ID for our new house. The level of professionalism, attention to detail and client focus has been amazing. Melvin listened to all our requirement and never fail to provide us with professions advice. He understood our need clearly. Throughout the journey, we made some changes and added few items. Melvin was flexible and adjusted accordingly. He was also quick to rectify things we highlighted. The project was smooth and completed within expected timeline. Melvin also put in extra effort come with us to pick the colour of furniture to match our house theme. Our house turned out very similar to the 3D and we're very pleased. Overall, we are happy with the renovation and the services provided by Melvin Yick. Highly recommended!

We are a first time home owner with limited knowledge with regards to renovation. Like any other home owners, we enquired a few IDs, and ultimately it was an easy decision to have Jeff from Swiss Interior to be our Home Specializer. We decided on Jeff because he gave us the impression of being swift in response, friendly, knowledgeable. During the discussion of finalizing our design/theme for our house, Jeff was able to elevate our thought process, expeditious in giving out ideas and suggestions. He is able to create a balance between functionality and aesthetics, keen eye for detail was evident as well. Needless to say, throughout the entire project, Jeff maintained excellent communication, keeping us informed of our renovation progression, as well as addressing our questions and even last minute requests. We were also thankful that, he was able to answer our queries whenever we have questions while shopping for our home's needs. He is literally a phone call/text away, highly commendable. We are satisfied with the top-notch result of our house thanks to Jeff. He demonstrated unparalleled level of interior designing expertise. We won't hesitate to have him as our ID again. This is our first time engaging an ID for our first home and I cannot rave enough about our ID - Candice Yee - and her knowledge in this field and industry. Hard skills wise, she has great knowledge about how the house is constructed, wired, piped etc and the sciences and honestly, I learnt a lot from her. This is important so we know what appliances / lightings etc we can buy / install, a crucial part of safety so we don’t overload the house. Her on-the-spot drawings that we randomly request blows my mind as she can draft them within seconds! Her spatial awareness is applauding. Don’t even talk about her 3D renders. She put our ideas into them while tweaking specific details which we don’t even notice - which is perfection cos that’s why we hire IDs, right?! She has immaculate eyes for details, colour scheme, texture and tones, no matter how subtle the difference. We trust her so much (especially my husband who is very particular about colours and matching the theme) that we go with her input 90% of the time! Timeline is consistently met and she is always early for our appointments. She has good working relationship with her staff, contractors and workers working in our house and timely intervention / defects were addressed swiftly whenever we did checks and communicated them to her over WhatsApp messages (even in the early mornings). Having a responsible and responsive ID is a huge relief to me as it serves the very purpose of engaging an ID - to talk only & no action (on my end)! Soft skills wise, she is not pushy at all. She listens and respects our ideas yet gives us meaningful input which resulted in a practical, functional and aesthetically pleasing home at the end of the day for us. Given that we have interviewed IDs from 4 other companies, she stood out the most because of these factors. I found it really easy talking and conveying ideas to her (no matter how silly) as she is non-judgmental - such an important attribute in an ID as I have heard stories from others where their IDs made them feel like outsiders instead of homeowners themselves. I can joke around with her - she is very mature and knowledgeable for her age and I feel very at ease around her! She doesn’t complain, doesn’t gossip, is patient and always smiling in spite of adversities and challenges. She has such a positive vibe about her that I know things are in good hands and will always be ok in the end. And more than ok they are! I have a beautiful and working home now and Candice plays a hugely substantial role in it. The best thing that happened in December 2021 was confirming and engaging Candice as our ID - haha yes, we engaged our ID 1.5 years before we got our keys! That’s what you do when you spot good IDs!
